How do I get started with Moms to the Rescue?

At Moms we offer a free in-home consultation to review your needs. You can contact us via phone or directly through this website. Most consultations last 20-45 minutes. What to expect:

Babysitting: We will meet you, learn about your child care needs and conduct a thorough interview to ensure we're a match for you and your child(ren).

House Cleaning: We will consult with you to learn what type of cleaning you need (scheduled, one-time, move in/out, deep cleaning) and ensure we can meet your expectations. Our cleaning normally includes:

  • Kitchen and bathrooms would include all appliances and sanitizing/cleaning surfaces plus:

  • Doors and door frames, doorknobs

  • Light switch and plates

  • Light fixtures

  • Upholstered furniture vacuumed

  • General straightening completed

  • Blinds dusted

  • Clean all floor surfaces and base boards

  • Take out any garbage and replace garbage bags

Once we complete any consultation and parties agree, we will send over a short contract for service (either electronic or paper), schedule a time to pick-up keys and walk through final instructions before we begin. We want to ensure that your needs are met and we strive for excellence.

We will ask for your time preference for service, but please understand that we cannot guarantee a specific time of arrival to your home. We allow a one-hour time interval to arrive at each client's home. This window allows time for unforeseen circumstances that may arise when traveling from other clients' homes.

Does Moms to the Rescue offer services on weekends and holidays?

Yes. We are literally here when you need us, whether it's a weekend, holiday or bad weather! Please note, we charge time and a half for federally observed holidays. Most of our rates start at $20 for up to an hour of service time; holidays would be $35.

Will Moms to the Rescue have my house key? What happens to it?

Moms will retain your keys for the duration of the services required. We can also keep a copy if you are using our scheduled housekeeping services. Upon completion of service(s), Moms will return your key, once you have returned home. We will not leave your key in the event your return is delayed.

What types of pets does Moms take care of?

Moms loves all animals big and small. However, we only provide pet sitting services for standard domesticated pets: dogs, cats, gerbils, hamsters, mice, small birds, fish, reptiles, and chickens. We are unable to provide services for large livestock such as horses and cows at this time.

What is included in a standard cleaning?

Our pricing is based on the work required. A standard cleaning averages $180 for an 1800 sq foot house. We require a consultation at which time we can provide pricing that fits the service.

Regardless of cleaning services needed, Moms does not cover trash removal, hauling items to a dump or emptying a house into a rented dumpster. Move outs require the house be completely empty before services can begin; water and electricity available.

Do you bring your own cleaning supplies and equipment?

Moms provides all cleaning supplies and equipment unless the clients prefer us to use their products and equipment. Moms uses effective, environmentally safe cleaners for most of our work. Clients will also need to inform us if they have septic and if their house contains any special surfaces.

What is my responsibility?
  • Pet Sitting: Clients are responsible for providing their pet's food, toys, leashes and other supplies & treats. We can purchase food in the event it runs out and add the cost to the final bill. We will need you to provide us with emergency contact and vet information. If you are delayed in returning home, Moms will automatically continue making visits until we hear from you. Clients will be billed for additional visits at the agreed upon rate.

  • Babysitting: Clients are responsible for providing all the necessities for their children during the time they are to be cared for, as well as providing emergency contacts before services start.

What if my pet needs emergency care while I'm away?

Moms will assess the situation and make a reasonable effort to reach our clients or their emergency contacts before seeking medical treatment. Medical treatment will be done through the client's assigned vet, or if he/she can not be reached, we will use a veterinarian of our choice.

What if my child(ren) needs emergency care while I'm away?

Moms will contact the legal guardian of the child(ren) with the expectations that the guardian will return home to care for their child within a reasonable time.

Is it OK to tip for service?

We provide a service. Tipping is not required but appreciated when a job is well done. We also provide feedback cards and encourage you to leave online reviews.

What type of payment does Moms to the Rescue accept?

We accept payment through Zelle, PayPal and Venmo. We also accept cash, check and cards. Cards payments have an additional 3.8% fee.

What are your payment guidelines? Is there a deposit required?

We require 10% payment prior to providing service, the remainder due at the conclusion of services.

What if I have to cancel?

Contact us as soon as you know there's a change in your plans! Clients are still responsible for full payment if cancellations are made while service is in progress.

What if I have to change the dates of Service?

Please contact us directly via telephone and let us know about the changes and we will strive to work with you if able.

Why do I have to sign a contract?

Contracts protect you as the client first and foremost as well as us as the service provider and although we always strive for everything to go just right sometimes rare unforeseen circumstances occur and we here at Moms put our clients’ safety as a priority.

Will I meet everyone on the team during my consultation?

Everyone who will perform any services requested by you will be present at the consultation barring any unforeseen emergencies in which we would notify the client immediately and have a standby associate, who will be listed on our website with a bio, to complete service(s).
